Ok- I was watching the baby yesterday when Sean got a phone call & then handed the phone to me. It was his aunt, who just happens to be a neighbor of my sister Wendi. She asked me if I'd talked to my sister. It was obvious by how I reacted that I hadn't. she told me Wendi broke her ankle. So I called Wendi- who seriously answered her cell in the ambulence on the way to the hospital!! She was trying to take some pics of some electrical work in the attic above the garage & fell through the ceiling!! Luckily all she broke was her ankle- cause she fell on cement from a ceiling. She actually shattered her heel, straight through her skin, just missing an artery. Which sucks on so many levels- one of which was that a trip she'd been planning to New York with her girlfriends for their 40th birthdays, was suppose to start today. Poor poor Wendi! She was home alone when it happened & luckily the garage door was open, so she could call to a neighbor for help... & luckily she has awesome neighbors that helped!

Sisters- sisters!! There were never such devoted sisters!!
Now that I recently praised what amazing sisters I have when we had Sam, I get an opportunity, very quickly afterwards to repay some niceness. Wendi had an order of 5 dozen of 6 different kinds of cupcakes (30 dozen!!) that needed to be done by tomorrow.. that hadn't been decorated!!! So Michelle, JoDee, and a few of Wendi's friends and I all spent the whole morning doing just that! Wendi has an amazing ward cause in the time we were there, so many people offered to help with the family in any way they could.
I realized how important true charity and service is. I've never felt such a resolve to help those in need as I do now that I've experienced need of my own... which is really sad- cause I should have already been feeling that way. I guess we can only learn & grow from experience, right?
