Happy Halloween!!!!

Yesterday was one busy day!!!
Our Halloween festivities began at Sean's Mom's house with pumpkin carving & goodies.

The boys... started their Halloween festivities getting muddy in the backyard.

We had a potluck dinner, & then Sam got to go around & play some carnival games & get prizes.

Our Ward did the party a little different than I've seen before. They had the kids parade their costumes in a huge circle in the cultural hall & trick or treat at the same time. Kinda different, but nice. it was done alot quicker! Sam only had a meltdown once while trick or treating, & once during the potluck. I'm convinced our ward thinks Sam is completely nuts. Some of the time, I do too.


After the ward party we resumed the party at Sean's Mom's.

we had a ton of fun for Joey's first Halloween!! Sam was so funny, when he was trick or treating, he refused to put the candy in his bag & then when we got to the next person, he would try to trade his candy for the piece they were giving out. I had to intervene, or he would have no candy!! & you know how important candy is to a 2 year old!! haha

From the beginning of October through the end of the year we have a holiday or birthday every 1 1/2 -2 weeks. It's nuts for our little family!!!!

Wow! What a day!!! I know I need to catch up on some blogging, but I figured I'd start from today & eventually work my way back.
I was all set to go over to my sisters & help her get ready for her Halloween party this morning.. I wasn't going to take no for an answer!! So I ran a few errands on my way there & called to see if she needed anything while I was out & she told me her husband & daughter stayed home to help her. Oh well.. I had good intentions!! Probably all the better, cause I was running around ALL day!!
I got the car washed (it had been an eternity since I last washed it!!) & that took awhile cause it was freaking filthy!! Then I went looking for Sammy's pumpkin costume. I never asked him what he wanted to be for Halloween cause.. well frankly, he's only 2 & can barely talk. Then last week Sean asked him when we at the store what he wanted to be & he told us a pumpkin! Ha!! So he was a pumpkin! I looked at Frys first, no deal. Then I got the car washed, then I went to Walmart. They had one, but it wasn't the greatest so I thought I'd look if Targets were better. Right when I pulled into Target I realized I left my coupons in the cart at Walmart! CRAP! I hauled butt back & couldn't see them where I just left them. This nice little lady told me she just took them inside. So nice of her.. except that meant I had to get the boys back out of the car to get them, & back in again!! I swear, all day long I just got the boys in & out of the car!!!
Targets was cuter.. glad I held out.
Then I went home to feed the boys & was off to visit teach. I was excited, cause I seriously know NOBODY in my ward!! We moved in right before I had the baby & then they redrew the stake boundaries. It was nice to finally meet a few people!
Then we went straight to Joey's 2 month well check. He was 13lb 9oz!! 75%! He's so freaking cute!! I can't help just loving that little guy!!! He got his immunizations though. I fed him right after the appointment & he finally fell asleep. Woah.. when he woke up later this evening! He was one unhappy camper!! I had to race to the store to get some Tylenol. Poor guy!! 4 shots :(
Then... we dressed up & it was off to my sisters annual Halloween party!!!

Probably the spookiest part of the night for me was when I went into the house to feed Joey. I sat in the dark room that you walked through to get to the backyard. They had the soundtrack to the haunted mansion ride at Disneyland playing on repeat. Seriously.. kinda spooky. I know its just a ride, but I've always thought its just a little creepy.

Despite Sammy being a nutzo cranky pumpkin & running around all crazy.. awesome party :) Thanx Dillards for all the fun & hard work!!!

Oh Sam...

Tonight Sam layed in our room watching his show right before falling asleep. He had a fun packed day with grandma & then running around with dad, uncle & cousins. He was totally tuckered out!! I came in the room & did my usual growl & pretend attack & he smiled his biggest smile.. the kind where his eyes smile. I thought- my gosh! How did we ever live without this amazing boy? He makes me happier than I ever thought possible!!!!

Happy 2nd birthday (tomorow) to my amazing Sammy. We love you more than life itself!!!!!

Oh... My... Gosh.

Today Sean & I were at his mom's house. He and his brother were working at getting her winter lawn together & trimming everything up. Sam & his cousin David were running around like little boys do, getting dirty & into everything. Joe was getting fussy, so I grabbed him & went into the other room to feed him, away from everyone, on the sectional. I had been feeding him a few minutes when I thought I heard the couch crinkle. Wierd. I looked around.. no, I was alone. Then I heard it again.. accompanied by a little tickle on side where my pants ended & my shirt was lifted up. Wierd. Then I felt the little tickle again. Very undeniably. So I scooted over to look down. In the crack of the sectional I saw a little furry something. Nemo? (the cat)... could that be your paw?? How could he be in the couch? Was I sitting on him?

I'm sorry.. were there enough H's on that? It was a RAT!!!!! Yeah, Sean's younger brother has a pet rat that apparently is allowed to roam the house free???!!!! I freaked out, jumped up, grabbed Joe & ran into the other room shrieking.
Topper : nobody was very concerned about it. It seemed normal to them.

Big Day

Today was our little Joey's blessing day. He truly is an amazing blessing in our lives!!!
Yesterday we were running around like mad people, running errands & trying to get ready for today. Sam & Joey were all tuckered out by the end of the day & when I checked on the boys, Sam was all snuggled up to Joey.. he sure loves his little brother!!!

I can tell they are going to be good friends :)

Our church meets at 8:30, so we had to get up & get going early. Sean had smoked some pork for a luncheon we had afterwards, so he was up late & then early working on making sure it came out great. Joe ate at 10pm & then fell asleep.. & didn't wake up til 5:30!!!! I couldn't believe it! I'm praying for a repeat tonight! Unfortunately, I didnt' get to bed til after 1, so by the time I was done feeding him, it was time to get things ready for this morning, & I only got a half an hour more sleep :(

He was blessed in the same outfit Sam was ( and the same outfit that several of his cousins were). As a matter of fact, his aunt Wendi didn't even realize I never gave it back to her after Sammy's blessing & held on to it because I knew we'd need it again. Thanx Wend, for unknowingly letting me use it again :)

We were lucky to have our friends the Palmers join us for the day!! Thanks for making the trip guys :)

We had an awesome luncheon after church at our house. Sean smoked a whole pork shoulder & did a really awesome job!!! We are lucky enough to have such an amazing family that all brought some good food to share & we had a nice little smorgasbord. Thanx to everyone for all the yummy food! We ALL loved it :)

I'm so grateful to have a husband who can bless our babies & provide our family with a future filled with faith & hope in God & Jesus Christ. I'm never happier than when I feel the spirit of God touch our family. Thanx Sean, for being so amazing.. & thanx Sam & Joe, for blessing my heart forever.
