Jack... and Julia

Tammie is visiting with her cutie boys right now. Yesterday Jack was hanging at grandmas house & then got very sad. He was just anxious to see Tammie home from lunch. So we went outside & hung out in the back of my truck to watch her pull up. He had me text her a message: Tammie, write me a message, love Jack. He pretended to be a bull for quite some time & enjoyed standing on the wheel humps. When Tammie pulled up he pretended to be asleep on the edge of the bed. There is nothing like the classic pretend sleep!!!

Christmas night

Ok, so I am superly out of control with the Christmas pictures... but i don't care!!! Christmas night we all met at Wendi & Todds for a culanary treat. Turkey Ham & the trimmings! Yum yum!!!

Christmas morning.....

We started our Christmas at our house opening presents pretty early. I woke up at 3am & had some trouble getting back to sleep... but there is no way Sean would get up at 3am. So we woke up a little before 6am & tore into the presents.
I got Sean a remote control car ( for the little boy in him), a new impact wrench, lots of drill bits, we got alot of dvds & I made hime the totally awesome jean blanket. I gave him tickets to the Nutcracker for the next night & we had an awesome time!!! We got all dressed up & saw it at Symphony Hall in Phoenix & ate at Marjles (spelling) right across the street afterwards. & I also got him a season of King of the HIll- he loves that show.

Sean had my sisters Nancie & JoDee help him pick out a set of china that I would like. BE-A-UTIFUL!!
He also got me a cake holder? I'm not sure what they are really called, but I've always wanted one!!

I alos got this pretty wall hanging & some awesome new silverware... service for 16! So, by 7am we were at Sean's dads house opening presents with his younger brothers. Their big present was the video game Rock Band. It comes with drums, a guitar, & a microphone. It is sooooo fun!! I played it with them for a few hours. Here is Ben with the guitar

Justin is pretty good at the fake guitar. & Tommy is really great at "singing". Especially the screaming into the microphone.
We all enjoyed watching Sean's dad video tape Christmas morning with the oldest camcorder known to mankind.

We named the band "Christmas"... nice & original, & set off for world domination.
Sean's brother got a remote control airplane, so of course Christmas morning consisted of going to an open field & seeing how quickly they could crash it & it would stop working.

Christmas morning was all in all... great! We had a ton of fun with his brothers!!

Christmas Eve

Well, we started our Christmas festivites on Christmas Eve with the Lindblom clan at my parents house. We have a tradition that we always get together on Christmas Eve & have something to eat, exchange the gifts for the persons name we drew, & then all the grandkids act our the Nativity as my dad reads it from the Bible. This last part is always a treat. This year, Nancie wrote out a whole program with songs integrated into it! Very cute!!!

Hello?

Long story short... our newest laptop is being sent to us & until we get it we have a "loaner" computer that Sean's brother lent us & it doesn't have a wireless card, & our connection is by the tv, so we have it in the corner on the ground. I walked into the living room & only saw feet. Sean brought this giant box home the other day& I was just laughing cause he was laying behind it on the ground & all I could see were his feet.

Saturday was Granty's baptism! I can't believe he is 8 already! It's funny cause I was looking in my old journal 2 days ago & I wrote about JoDee having her new baby.. Grant! Now look at him!

Surprise!

So.. the past 2 Saturdays my mom has been helping me make a surprise jean quilt out of all the MANY pairs of jeans Sean has destroyed since we've been together. Now, I knew it would be alot of work... but I didn't think it would be as much as it is. Of course, mom did pretty much all the sewing, so I'm not sure I can complain much. I cut & pinned everything out (which doesn't sound like much, but it is!) & she sewed. We were a nonstoppable team!





We finished getting all the front side completely sewn together! It looks spectacular! & I'm so excited to give it to him! Mom says we can even sew a little "Johnsons" on it! Yippee! I told my mom that I wanted a picture of us making it.. so in 20 years I can tell my kids- thats me & grandma making the Johnson blanket :)

It's Beginning to look alot like Christmas!!!

It dosn't look like much.. but we have lights on the tree & fence too. Now I will direct your eyes (if they haven't already been automatically drawn) to my gigantic wreath on the door. Yes... its true. I bought a gigantic wreath at Costco cause I fell in love with it. It is quite big for my present door... but I refuse to let that stand in my way. I will buy my next house only with a big door to fit my wreath

Randomness....

More of the wreath.... now it is very obvious that we have a ghetto doorway, as afore stated in my birthday blog. The paint is peeling & needs some serious work... hopefully this weekend will take care of that!

We went tonight to get our Christmas tree to find the nursery close... so tomorrow!! Then I can add pictures of our pretty tree :)
