OH MY GOSH!!! Our computer has been moving sooo slow!!! We even have a freaking new laptop... I guess I mean our internet was moving slow. Well, we bought a new modem tonight & now my computer moves at lightening speed around the world wide web. Yipeeee!!!!!

Random

Well, I'm having serious blogging withdrawls. I just haven't been interesting enough in the past few weeks to really make a contribution to this page, but I've had it.... I'm blogging today!
So, the most interesting thing that has happened was my last orthodontic visit. I guess my whole occlusal plane (smile) is a little crooked, so to fix it, they gave me an implant in the bone above my upper right first bicuspid. A chain is attached to from the implant to my bicuspid to bring everything up. Nice huh? It was at this point that I was beginning to wonder if the braces are really worth it....! He actually just gave me a bit of local anesthetic & I was fine. Apparently I have very hard bone, & their first attempt didn't work, so they stabbed me twice. Consequently I got an insane canker sore that was actually the only thing really hurting at all... not the piece of metal they stabbed into my bone!


I figured I should put a picture of myself looking semi-normal to make up for that last picture!

Sean went on a scout outing this weekend & just got back. Even though he looks like he's been out in the wild, he actually just has the facial hair cause I like it. The young men in the ward call him brother bear. ha ha ha!

& last but not least, Sean's latest project. He planted some tulips & bulbs awhile ago & they are all starting to come up. He has such a green thumb! What a talented guy I've got :) I think the inspiration for this project came from an episode of This Old House. Sean loves that show & they had an episode awhile ago about planting bulbs.

RIP

Ok, here is just one example of how emotional I really am. Its a really sad story though, so I dont' think I should be judged! Last night Sean & I were coming home & were on Alma School driving when this puppy was out it the street. Alma School is at least 5 lanes, its not small. This puppy was big, he was gonna be a big dog & had a leash on.. but nobody there trying to get him out of the street. Sean, being the tenderhearted man he is, jumped into action. He flipped a u-ey & parked it the center lane & jumped out trying to stop traffic & get the dog out of the road..but it just wouldn't listen. He got back in the car & we turned back around & all the traffic going north bound was stopping, but nobody would get out & help it. Well.. south bound traffic wasn't so nice. I saw the poor little guy get nipped by the first car & couldn't watch after that... I totally just started sobbing!! Sean let me know that he indeed got hit & hit over & over again. I cried the whole way down the street. Have you ever had a front row seat watching a dog be repeatedly hit by cars? It is not very nice!!!! What a horrible thing :( It was awful! & I went home & gave Alex a stern lecture on not getting out of the backyard & mistakingly making her way down the street. Sean assured me she would never do that. The end

Snow Day

This past weekend Sean & I took a very adventurous (putting it mildly) trip to Flagstaff to play around. We drove up to Wing Mt. by snowbowl & took Sean's family's old school sled & an inner tube & booked it down the hills. I especially appreciated the gigantic coat I wore!!!

Ok... here is Sean in his jumpsuit glory. He insisted on wearing this jumpsuit while he played in the snow, which at first I just laughed really hard at... but he stayed dry!

Wasn't that fun? It actually really was. It wasn't fun to step onto snow & sink a foot, & it wasn't fun being cold... which reminded me why I live in Mesa. Later on in the trip we went out past Lake Mary & explored around in the truck. Very very long story short... we spent 5 hours with the invincible 4 wheel drive truck stuck in this mud sinkhole while the snow spun a few inches around us. Luckily we have an amazing friend named Brandon who came to our rescue. It even took a 1/2 hour with his 3/4 ton 4 wh dr diesel... but we are now not stuck... & thats all that matters. Lesson learned ... we are not invincible despite the fact that our truck has four wheel drive. There were pics taken of all that that I dont' have.. so they will follow.

Kelli & Aaron were here visiting during the Christmas break & right before they left we had a little bbq at Jo & Andy's house, so of course I took pictures because I'm a picture-a-holic!!! Aunt Shirle & Uncle Frank came to celebrate as well.

Girls Night!!

Dana was in town visiting, so all us high school girlies got together a few days ago for dinner & a movie. Its nice to keep such great friends for so long! Some things never change ;)
We ate at Oreganos & then went & saw Enchanted, which -by the way, was freaking adorable!!!!! Good times :)

Happy 2008!!!!!

Happy New Years everyone!! It's my first blog in 2008! I can't believe how fast this last year went! I'm glad that I have such a great husband to get through it all with.
We spent New Years Eve rockin the night away at a totally awesome 80's party. Sean went with the Miami Vice ensemble & I just decked out in 80's from head to toe. My favorite part of my outfit was the Madonna lace fingerless gloves- hot pink :)

There was even a nice "high school dance" backdrop for us to take pics next to.

I seriously had a blast!!!! We played name that tune & quote from 80's movies. I had THE best time dancing though. I'm surprised I actually got Sean to even slow dance with me. He just sat & watched me go crazy on the dance floor. It was such a blast!!!!!
