Happy Birthday to me!

Well, another year has come & gone... & now I am 28!!!!! My birthday was actually kind of so so... I worked all day... yippeee!! The Dr.s bought us all lunch though- my choice :) so I'm sure you can guess what we ate!!! We actually had Buca da bepo? spelling? We had ceaser salad, alfredo w/ chicken, red peppers & broccoli... &.... PIZZA! ah yes! An italian food dream :) This pic is the only pic I have of me on my birthday!

Don't I look depressed to be turning 28? Sean has been sick & was pretty bad yesterday, so he was at home in bed :( When I got home from work there was a scavenger hunt starting at the door. It led me through the house & each clue led to a mug. I commented once at Bed Bath & Beyond that I like these mugs, so he went back & bought 6 for me ;) The last mug was next to a gallon of outdoor paint. Our front entrance is looking seriously ghetto lately & I've been really bugging Sean about it... so he took the first step & bought the paint! Yippee!


These mugs are so hot!! & the pics don't even do them justice. They are actually quite a bit darker, the flash makes them look light. I didn't even notice two colors on the handles til this picture. They are super fat & I can imagine myself drinking soup from one :)

Last but not least... we went to dinner at Cheesecake factory :) Sean bought us tickets to go see the Phoenix Symphony chamber orchestra perform the Messiah at the new Mesa Arts Center. I always beg him to take me to something at the new arts center... & he actually listened to my nagging!!
I wish that there was a law that said you can't work on your birthday!! I had a seriously crazy busy day at work! Oh well... I guess it makes me even more of a grown up that I spent most of my birthday at work :(
I'm glad a I have Sean to make me happy!

Ok!! JoDee gave me my birthday present early because she is going to be at Disneyland next week. So here is a picture of me with it! Isn't it glorious?!!!

We are postponing our little party today. We planned to be able to use the backyard & it is pouring rain today!! We will probably do it next weekend.. will keep an update!

Spa day!

Today was my work Christmas party. The Dr.'s took us to the Lamar Day Spa in Scottsdale. It was so great!!!! I definitely want to make a sisters day or girlfriends day of it!!! They give you robes & slippers & you have access to the sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, pool & lounge area ( picture above) Today I got a theraputic massage & a 25 min facial. The massage was THE BEST!!! The dr.s also rented a special room where we kept our secret santa presents & then got served lunch!! It was a great relaxing day :) It wasn't the most elegant spa in the world, but I thought it was pretty nice. Definitely would be a freaking awesome fun day for the girls :)

Evening in Excellence

This week we had our Evening in Excellence. Although it was a little stressful, we pulled everything together in the end. We had a dinner of lasagna, salad & garlic bread with some sparkling cider in little plastic fluted glasses. We gave the girls little gold awards & highlighted each of them individually. The decorations were great! & all the parents showed up, which made me VERY happy!! Here are a some pics of a few of the girls :) I told them to act like they had just won a huge award.

Side note

Quick side note- Sean & I are having a little "joint" birthday party next Friday night, the 30th of November starting around 6:30 & would LOVE to see any & everyone who could come. Black Friday

What a fantastically glorious day :) I woke up at 4 am to hit some serious deals & boy did I!! Except I can't really say all that I got cause they are all Christmas presents!! Except I did get to JC Penny & got this really pretty new 92 piece flatware set for me :) Service for 16 & a 12 piece entertainint/hostess set! Love it!! Although it was the hugest hassle EVER to get it. It took me 4 different employees (ending in a manager) & looking through the stock in the back to find it! It was mislabled & not in their big book ad they sent out. CRAZY! Anyways... regularly $139... only payed $39!!!! Then I went shopping with Nancie & JoDee most the day. Good times. BEST part of the day...... well, I'll take you back a few weeks. Our laptop has been slowly falling apart & finally the jack where the battery charger plugs in sputtered out. Yeah! Anyways... I took it in to Best Buy cause Sean never seemed to get around to it. I thought it would cost an arm & a leg to fix... & it would have.. but! I forgot I bought a 3 year warranty! So they I said- in that case! The cd player barely reads cds, this is broken, that hasn't worked for months.. yadda yadda yadda! So yesterday they called me to say that the repairs were "uneconomical" & they were replacing the unit!!!!!!!!!!! So last night Sean & I picked up this new laptop-

Yipee!!!!! Pretty freaking cool huh?!!! We ended the night by breaking out some Christmas decorations & starting to spread some holiday cheer around the house :)

Well, another Thanksgiving has come & almost gone! To start off the day we met the whole Lindblom clan for a nice game of touch football. The darks shirts against the light shirts.

We ate dinner at mom & dad Lindbloms. The high was actually under 80 today... perfect for eating outside!!! I made the mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole & a cherry pie! All the food was totally delicious!!!




I had to do a closed mouth smile so I didn't flash too much food in the braces!!

I convinced Griffin to make a ham taco with a pickle & stuffing in the middle. A "paco" ... he ate it as we cheered him on!!!
All in all... a very full day!!! :)

Happy Birthday to Sean!

Well, it was Sean's birthday on Friday. Both of us had to work that day until about 4pm, so it was kind of ordinary.... but!! our night was really fantastic! Sean listens to Sean Hannity on the radio & he always talks about Ruths Chris steak house, so for about 6 months Sean has been wanting to go. I always tell him its too expensive & we cant go, but for the past few months I've been planning on taking him for his birthday. About a month & a half ago I made reservations & it was all set!!

So I bought Sean a new shirt & made him go get his haircut, & I got my hair trimmed & styled by the wonderful Crystal!! I wouldn't tell him where we were going, but he insisted it was somewhere fancy because I made him dress up. I lied & told him we were going to do something else before going to dinner, because he told me the restaurant had to be in Scottsdale cause we got on the 101 north.

Lets just say that surprises aren't Sean's favorite thing in the world! He wasn't very happy that I wouldn't tell him where we were going, but entertained himself by guessing.

This is us outside or Ruths Chris. It was such an awesome night!! Sean was totally shocked & surprised. When we got there, we only waited a few minutes & they sat us. They had decorated the table with birthday confetti because when I made the reservation they asked if it was a special occasion & I told them it was my husbands birthday. The service was spectacular & the food was incredible! Sean got the Kobe t-bone because he remembered them saying it was good on the tv show Malcolm in the Middle. Nice reason, huh? He made a good choice! My ribeye was good, but his t bone literally melted in your mouth!! The manager came out just to wish him a happy birthday & they gave us a dessert menu & let us pick any birthday dessert for free! The cheesecake wasn't just a piece, it was a mini whole cheesecake with fresh fruit!! I couldn't have planned it all better!!!
This was the way home.. he looks alot happier now, huh? We bypassed the other plans for the night cause Sean said he was too full. That made me laugh.
Here we are.. very happy & full- at JoDee's to borrow a movie for the night. & all that follows from here is our small photo shoot in the car on the ways home. I guess we got a little camera happy.
