Easter Fun

*WARNING* copious amounts of pictures to follow*****
Today Sammy had his very first Easter egg hunt with his cousins. I'm pretty much the luckiest person ever, cause I have amazing sisters that organize fun stuff for holidays & let me come & enjoy the fruits of their labors.
Last year when my mom found out I was having a baby, she started buying baby clothes- boy & girl! She didn't know what I was having, but she said between Tammie & I , one of us should be able to use the clothes.. both of us had boys- go figure! Anyways- my mom got a cutie little outfit on clearance at Target after Easter that says- baby's first Easter & has bunnies for feet & a tail on the back. It fit Sammy perfectly today for his first Easter egg hunt.


I think he was a little reluctant at first....

but all the Lindblom cousins helped him get in the spirit of things!

What a fun time! Before we know it Sam will be old enough to actually color eggs & do crafts with the other kids. but for now, we'll praise the ability to sit up straight all by himself ( a fact that I've informed my friend Meredith about a billion times every time I talk to her, not remembering I already told her... a billion times- you can tell I'm excited about it).

So after searching high & lo- I finally found an Easter church outfit for Sam. I swear I could be a millionaire if I opened a store that sold dress clothes for baby boys 0-12 months old. I had the HARDEST time finding one.. & the one I found is actually for 12 months, the shirt is a bit big & Sean's mom was nice enough to hem up the pants today. So we had an appointment at JC Penny to have pictures taken. I have to say I didn't particularly care for the shots that were taken, so we are going to take II tomorrow.. pictures to follow.

HAPPY NEWS.... Sean & I have a new nephew! Tonight Tiffany had her baby- David Paulo Schorn. 7lbs ?oz- 21 inches long.. lots of hair! We're excited to see him tomorrow! Yay!

Make My Day

What a fantastical day :)
Despite the fact that I agreed to be at work from 6:30-5:30 today ( I actually don't remember agreeing to this, but was informed at the end of last week that I did :( ), I had a fantastical day :)
The other hygienist entered us at baja fresh for free burritos & we won!
not everyone wanted them, so Sean met me at Baja Fresh with my baby Sammy & we all ate together :) I LOVE when I see them at lunch, & wish it happened more often!
When I got home from work, one of my roses from the bush Sean bought me for Mother's Day last year opened all the way up. I LOVE roses in my yard... SO beautiful :)

When I walked in the door, I could smell Mr. Clean ... Sean was finishing mopping the floor in a clean kitchen... a clean house ?! Yay!!!! Keeps getting better!

Than me & Sam had some floor time. He sat up better than he ever has! His balance is really getting better!

and now.. I will watch American Idol - I LOVE it :)

What a great day!!

ps- down side of the day... finding out how many fat grams & calories that burrito had... yikes!

A moment

Today I covered work for another hygienist so she could golf in a tournament. I got home in just enough time to see Sean off to class. As we sat there a few brief moments together Sean said- Oh my gosh! I think Sam is going to crawl! Sam picked up his little leg & scooted forward with his foot!!! I know it wasn't a whole lot- but for that moment, I was filled with the most indescribable & utter joy. Sean & I were laughing & smiling togther & I even teared up while we watched our little baby have a first. I never knew that making my own family would make me happier than I could ever believe. I could have had the worst day at work or at home- but that moment overwhelmed me with so much joy!, nothing else mattered!! So of course I had to take a picture!

I remember feeling the same way the first time we heard him laugh & saw him smile. Can you imagine the joy we could have if we were to be together forever, with God's perfect love? I can't even imagine...

Guess who has her tooth back?

me! Yesterday I saw the oral surgeon for my week post operative check- aok :)- & then the orthodontist for a new wire & he bonded my tooth back in my mouth.... so I can smile without feeling like a hillbilly again!! now we just need to organize all the crap on the carport so we are completely wt-less.

Guess who finished painting & put the "done" stamp on the trailer? Isn't it really shiny & pretty :)

Sean is the most amazing man, I swear- he can do pretty much anything .. & does it well. I'm so lucky :)



Guess who is a stinker & can't be left alone in a room, can't be ignored for more than a few seconds, needs to be carried from room to room while I clean... etc, etc,etc...

out #1 attention hog :)... you like that sour look on his face? He must know what I was about to type about him.

He gave me a bite too.. & it was wonderful! I've mentioned before that I've never let myself like tomatoes, only their byproducts, before- but yummy!

Our other new arrival- Sammy's new blanket from Grandma Lindblom. yay!! It is nice & colorful & Sammy LOVES it! Thanx for spending time to think of us grandma :)

She even sewed some fun buttons & toys on it - like this little doggy :) Sorry my camera sucks & you can't really see it very well.

This morning I saw a man in his late 30's, who was balding, get off a city bus & skateboard into the Circle K. Does anyone else see anything wrong with this picture?

Root canals & Grandmas

Doesn't he look like he's in a little muscle shirt in that picture?
Today I performed my own root canal. I know, its not enough that I went through all the dental crap I did last weekend... I'm just that good. Ok, for real- this may sound gross to some, but I'm glad- I actually was able to keep the crown of the tooth I had pulled & the dentist I work for & her assistant are helping me clean the tooth, add some filling material to it, & then my orthodontist is going to use it as a temporary until my implant is fully integrated & can have a permanent crown made. Craziness, huh? So today I started cleaning it out & used some endodontic files to clean out the remainder of the root canals. Cool, huh? I thought I was :)
On a similar note, my own mother has to get a new crown & root canal on a tooth in her head.. so sorry to hear mom- that really stinks :( We'll endure dental tragedy together!
last week my mom (whose on a mission by the way) said, I'd like to make Sammy a blanket- she's an amazing seamstress, knitter, crotch ere etc.. then a few days later she called to tell me it was on the way- she's so great ;) I think it'll be here tomorrow & she says it has lots of colors which will make Sammy happy & help him learn his colors too!
Today Sean brought home the quilt his mom has been working on for awhile for Sammy- its a patchwork quilt & is so nice, you have to blow the picture up to really see it.

Sammy is so lucky to have such great grandmas :) & I'm so lucky to have a great dentist :) Crazy how these two things are in the same post.. oh well.

Nitrous & Narcotics

Remember this? On the top, 4th tooth from the left... huge fracture? on the right side at the cervial area?
In case you missed it... I found this tiny problem a month or so ago. One of my beautiful, virgin teeth had a ginormous root fracture. I cried & cried the day I found it, but new today would come...

the implant.

Yesterday I had my consultation with the oral surgeon for the extraction & implant placement. Today I had my surgery. I drove myself because I opted for local anesthetic. Thats right, be impressed at how tough I am! Actually I'm a huge wimp- its really not that impressive. I was just going to do it with the numbing shots, but when I got there I decided to throw a little nitrous into the mix. I'm so glad I did. I've only had nitrous once in my life, when I was learning how to do it in my anesthesia class back at NAU.

If anyone needs any kind of oral surgery- DR LESLIE FISH- he did such a freaking amazing job!! He is very professional & very considerate. He got me VERY numb & even let me have my nirtrou to take off my nervous edge. My body reacts so easily to anesthetic! I felt like you do right before your about to fall asleep- it was wonderful. I still would have been fine without it, it just made it a whole heck of alot more pleasant :)

So they extracted #5 & placed the implant today. He told me they had to raise the sinus floor, so along with post operative instuctions, they gave me sinus instructions that include not blowing my nose for a month (kinda wierd) & trying not to sneeze (which is impossible if you know me). He also did a small bone graft. I was awake for the whole procedure & then drove myself to the pharmacy for my pain killers & antibiotics & now I'm home sitting nice & pretty on some narcotics, gauze in the mouth, & ice to the face. Seriously, I didn't even think of having Sean there with me until I was already there & they were giving me all my post instructions. I thought, man- why didn't I have Sean come with me to take care of & spoil me? Oh well- the practical hygienist in me thought since I wasn't being put under, why bother?

Yesterday he told me implants have a 95% chance of working, which I knew. Today he told me mine has an 85% chance of working- I guess the 95% is when you don't have to mess with sinus. If it is not successful, we'll try again.

Well- everyone pray for my implant to be succesfull- even though Dr. Fish was amazing, I DONT want to do it again!!!!

Go ahead, be impressed

For the past week Sean's dad has been helping him build a trailer. You heard me right, they built it from metal scraps. Sean's always pretty modest, he told me his dad did most of the work & he just helped him. I'm not sure how much of that is true cause I wasn't around. It could be something like when my mom "helped" me make Sean's jean blanket. since I don't really sew, my mom did alot of work. Sean dosn't really weld like his dad, so... I'm still rather impressed.. so go ahead, & be impressed too :)
