When I got home from church on Sunday, this is what I found...

I seriously laughed out loud. it made me think of an old man in black socks.

Sean got a new blower for his landscaping this week & of course he had to put it all together immediately. Sam thought this was all very interesting & I know that Sean is just counting down the days until Sammy can actually really use a tool.

Sam has been having a pretty hard week. I'm pretty sure there is another tooth on the way, cause he's usually a pretty happy baby & this whole week he's been a little fussy. It is really taking its toll on me! Thank goodness he is usually a good boy! Oh no! Does that mean my next kid will be whiney all the time?

I've been pretty successful at babifying this house. I've gotten it to the point that Sam can crawl around the hall, family room & kitchen & I don't have to worry about him hurting himself or have my eye on him every second. Wednesday I got down & hand washed the kitchen floors so that I didn't have to worry about Sam getting too dirty crawling around. That was two days ago & he was still getting dirty today. I guess the word clean dosn't exist with kids in the picture. Tonight he was seriously playing with the basketball in the kitchen.. pushing it, hitting it, & chasing it. It was pretty cute!

I'm excited for tomorrow!! Fireworks, fun 4th tshirts, bbq, 4th cookies.. Yay!!!!

Day Trip :)

When I mean he's into everything, I mean EVERYTHING!

He actually crawled up into the fridge & Sean thought it was just hilarious. This kid is killing me!

Yesterday we took a little trip up north for the day with Sean' s sister & her little baby. The weather was perfect & it was nice to get away for a little bit.

I think my little nephew looks like a doll, especially when he's asleep.

We did a little hiking around- more like walking- & this carrier is so nice. It gets old carrying Sam around everwhere.

unfortunately, I'm still working on getting my ears to fully pop - I've been sick the last week & coming down out of those mountains really did a number on my head!!! It was still a good trip

Just to let eveyone know.... today I got my purse money... what is that you might ask? I've had $20 on the fridge for awhile, awaiting my 20 lb weight loss goal... today it happened. So when you see my new purse you can tell me how great my butt looks :)

but... I would really appreciate it if Sam figured out what - Mommy says no!- means. This kid is into EVERYTHING since he learned how to speed crawl.

I now agree with my sister Michelle who proclaimed the best age when a baby can sit up & entertain themselves, but cannot crawl! & I understand what - its a little too quiet- means. When I say- mommy says no! this is usually the response I get...

Sam LOVES to walk along the fireplace & play. At first I was a little nervous that he would hurt himself, but when I talked to my dad he said we all walked along in that same spot when we were little & we turned out in one piece. Sam has actually become amazing at cradling his head up when he falls down.

Sams favorite past time is pulling this metal tin (which is very light) ontop of himself when I repeatedly tell him not to touch it.and to play with any & every-thing that is on the ground or near to the ground

but Sam's ABSOLUTE favorite past time is to play with any kind of cord he can get his hands on. I had the computer plugged in & the cord stretched which Sam found only to be a new challenge....

2 days ago Sam was standing along the couch & turned away for a mili-second & then realized he was no longer holding on & wobbily grabbed back onto the couch. I have a feeling it won't be too much longer before this boys walking. Sometimes I think he gets frustrated that he can't walk.

We've had a rough week around here. Sam started to not feel well at the end of last week & by Sunday he's passed it onto Sean & me. Yay!!! Yesterday was absolutly miserable. For me, anyways. I also now understand what it means to never stop being a mom, even when you feel like crap. I basically let Sam crawl wild yesterday while I layed in the recliner feeling like several parts of my body might fall off. I'm very lucky that half my day at work didnt' pan out & that I got to leave very early today, because Sam woke up for the day at 3:30 & Sean & I took turns trying to get him back to sleep. Not so great when I have to be up at 5:30. I'm hoping tomorrow my throat won't hurt as much!

First Haircut

Sammy's cute little hair was getting a little shaggy around his ears, so when I got my hair trimmed a couple of weeks ago, I had my awesome friend Crystal trim Sammie's too.

I was all excited to take pictures of his first haircut & then when I opened the camera, the battery went dead... nice. It's a good thing I was with a friend who realized how ridiculous I am about documenting every part of Sam's life, cause Crystal took pictures for us on her camera... thanx a million!!! for the cut & pictures :) He looks so handsome :)

Today I worked. I was up at the front of the office when a patient asked me- didn't you have a baby? Of course I find every opportunity to talk about Sam, so I asked if she wanted to see pictures. I showed her a couple of pictures I have of him hanging in my locker at work. She oohed & aahed about what a beautiful baby he is. I said thank you! I think so too... course I'm a little biased. Then she said- no, seriously! You have such an amazingly beautiful baby! He's like baby GQ!

Ok... I'll admit it...Sammy IS the cutest :)

Man of the House

How does life change when you have a baby? Well...

Date night is accompanied with a car seat & high chair at the restaurant, cause everyone you know is out on a date & no one is available to watch the baby.
Then after dinner you find yourself here....
looking at toys & letting the baby handle squishy toys & watching your husband push him around in the large size toy cars for toddlers. We bought Sammy a basketball & he loves it! I think we enjoyed thinking about Sammy being old enough to enjoy the toys more than he liked being at the store.. oh well.... Yay for babies :)

No, It's not I LOVE YOU- although those are nice words!!
Yesterday very early morning, Sam woke up ridiculously hungry at a ridiculous time. Sean was trying to calm him down while I made a bottle. The word "dadadadadadadadada" has been in Sam's vocabulary for awhile now. But yesterday ( actually Wednesday night) when I walked in the bedroom, through his little cries, Sam said- mama! mama! baba! I couldn't believe it! & Sean even heard it too & smiled because it made me so happy. He said it again yesterday during the day, so it wasn't just a fluke. I know I've heard him say mama before, but never at me. Yay!!!! Sam can say 3 words! Now I'll work on that whole -I love you- :)

They Say it's Your Birthday!

Happy Happy Birthday Nancie dear!!! Today was my amazing sister Nancie's birthday! Woohoo!! We celebrated tonight with lots of great food & laughs :) Hope this next year is Fantastical Nancie... we love you more than you'll know!

Last night Sam decided that he was going to wake up at 3am & that he was up for the day & was going to play!! Yay!! Great! Even better that I had to be up for work at 5:30! yay!!! thats all I have to say about that.
