where oh where....

Alex & Red got out again... somehow... after we fortified our gate ridiculously. We're not sure how long they were gone yesterday because both of us had to wake up & zip off to work & then noticed them gone in the evening when we tried to go give them a treat.
I looked after work for awhile, but stopped when it got dark. I had a feeling that they would come back on their own. Well, at least Red would, cause he is such a big pig he can't stand to be without food for long. I opened the back door to do some laundry at 11pm last night & lo & behold Red was standing at his food dish waiting to be fed. However, Alex is still nowhere to be found :( We're going to look at the pound as soon as it opens... wish me luck!

Thats me & my prego sister Tammie. We're due pretty much the same exact time. I just wanted to say how great it is to have someone who I can complain to & someone who sympathizes so easily with me. We talked on the phone today & our conversations lately go like this...

I'm swollen, I can't sleep, my husband will never really understand what I'm going through, I can't wait til this baby is out of me, I wonder what he'll look like, I really hope he comes earlier than they tell me, how was your last dr visit... etc.

Tonight the young women threw me a baby shower... which is sooo sweet :) I pretty much knew although it was suppose to be a surprise shower, but it was still very sweet of them to think of me. We played a few games, ate some yummy cupcakes & they got me some very nice gifts :)
We played the diaper game, with candybars smooshed up in them & you have to guess what candy it is. I convinced Brittany to let me take a picture of her licking it, & Meredith gave her a nice face shove into the diaper... action shot!

Jessica made us all some nice cupcakes & the cutest part is that she used the cake toppers from her 1st birthday on them!! How adorable!

I seriously wasn't expecting any presents, so it was superly nice of everyone!!!! It's nice to know that they still like me enough to do all this, even when I know I'm not always their favorite person in the world. I will tell you though, that my young women are amazing girls with insane potential... if only they could see!! Isn't it nuts when your at the point where your looking back at what you've gone through & just wish that a younger person would listen to what your saying cause you know it would do them so much good!!!! I think with that mentality, I'm ready to be a mom :)

Like Sands of the hour glass

Our weekend was pretty uneventful. I woke up on Friday with a popeyes hand. My right hand was so ridiculously swollen! I actually called in & didn't work. I faithfully layed on my left side most the day, only to take a break & visist Michelle, who told me to be laying down more or I'd swell bigger. Not sure if thats actually possible, but we'll see. Saturday I alternated between laying down, & cleaning in the morning & then layed down at JoDee's house for awhile & visited with her & Nancie while Andy watched several football games. & yes Dana, I thought of you & Michael when BYU stomped the crap out of UCLA.
Sunday involved more laying around & drinking liquids. There. That was my weekend! Pretty freaking boring. I've decided if I actually got put on bedrest I might kill myself of boredom. So I can't let that happen. I wore my wrist brace last night & this morning, although still puffy, my hand has been reduced significantly in size.
This morning I was pleasantly surprised to find our rose bush in full bloom again. With more than 5 buds still coming very shortly....
I also had to drive to work with my headlights on... winter soon to come!
and tonight Sean got his hairs cut. What a studmuffin :)
Sean found out today a childhood friend past away & today was sad for us. I'm so glad we have each other to rely on. I know that no matter what, we'll always have each others shoulder to lean on. :)

My baby is burrowing into my right side & I'm pretty sure he has small knives that he is stabbing me with. I was sitting at work today & felt this insane sharp pain in my right side- what is that baby doing? Seriously?!!!! Today when I sit still I can feel him moving up into my right side. Crazy baby!!!!

what a guy!

On my way home from work Sean informed me that the laptop stopped working. The jack that the power cord plugs into was not working... yipee!!! When I got home the laptop was in pieces all taken apart on the couch. I seriously freaked out... to myself. Sean thought he could somehow fix it. Sure..! My friend Meredith ( who by the way brought us some freaking delicious golden spoon frozen yogurt :) ) stopped by & we chatted for awhile. Meanwhile Sean was doing something to the laptop, which mostly just looked like causing more damage. He had the soldering iron out for heavens sake!!! But to my amazement, I am typing on that laptop just as you are reading, hours later. Man my husband is freaking amazing & handy... there is nothing that man can't do!! I'm so lucky he is all mine :)

p.s- my parent are having the most awesome experiences on thier mish.. & they haven't even gotten to the field yet. We are so lucky to have them serving & blessing our family :) Check out their blog for some amazing good feelings :)

Please allow just one more brag! Yesterday I was sitting in ward council & the bishop wanted to hear a few words from the pinewood derby winner... that would be me!! It was the talk of PEC & Ward Council how Sean's wife stomped him! :) & everyone else :) Ah yes... sweet victory :)

Today it is like the baby is sticking his butt or head or something right up in my ribs towards the right side & doing a booty dance!!!! Boo-hoo-tee :)

Alright!!! Jo & I went yard saling this morning again & I got a few great deals for the baby! Fist of all.. The BUMBO!
$2 my friends- They are about $40 in the store, so I thought I scored pretty good on that one!!
& then this take-along swing for $5! Wahoo! Go us, bargain shoppers ;)

Frustration

*****WARNING********* This is a venting session. You don't have to read... but I will write. Today was nuts. I'm really getting towards the point in my pregnancy where I dread getting up and going to work. I just want to sleep in & not have to move my big fat stomach around & bend over to pick things up at work. I seriously almost called in this morning. I did let them know awhile ago that after this month is over, I will not be working Fridays anymore. WOHOO!!!
I had a scaling & root planing patient today (deep cleaning) where I have to numb the patient up to do the cleaning because it's either been so long since they have had a cleaning that the tarter has hid far underneath their gums, or they are just really freaking lazy & don't take care of their teeth, or both combined. This women only had 17 out of her 32 teeth, so she was sceduled to have her whole mouth numbed up & clean the whole thing. To say this woman was a little off is an understatement. I gave her 3 carpules of anesthetic- gave her 4 different blocks twice & then ended up infiltrating each individual tooth & she swore she wasn't numb. As a matter of fact, the more anesthetic I gave her, the more she jumped & moaned & carried on in the chair. Did I mention she is like 60? Far too old to act like such a ridiculous baby? I seriously thought I would lose it on this lady. Then she told me not to give her any more anesthetic because her throat (she pointed to down where her thyroid is) was numb now. Heaven only knows how this could possibly be accomplished, but she was convinced. I did finish the cleaning & when she sat up to leave she asked me not to tell anyone in the office that she was a difficult patient- it's not all in my head, she claimed- I just have really sensitive teeth. yeah... sure.
Then my last patient was a 15 year old girl, which was just fine... except her freaking annoying 5 year old brother, who spoke so ridiculously ill that I couldn't understand him, trailed his way back into the office after I was a few minutes into the cleaning & wandered around the operatory asking questions that I couldn't understand & finding things & claiming they were his. parent, do not be so stupid to think its ok to let your 5 year old child wander around a medical office.
thats it... I'm done venting.

Update!

So yesterday was the big day. It was such an insane day too. First off I woke up yesterday & Sean was already up & gone. I had a feeling to check on the dogs so I looked out the back window. I couldn't see them, but didnt' get too worried cause they are usually in their dog house. When I open the back door they automatically shoot out & run to be let in. I opened the door & nothing.. called their names & nothing. Sometimes they get out & lay around in the front yard, but they know they aren't allowed out of the yard, & they don't go out of the yard... until yesterday. I threw some clothes on & went out front only to find they were nowhere in sight. I panicked & jumped in the car & started up the street...nothing. I called Sean to tell him to come home to look for the dogs cause I had to get ready for work!! I looked for about 10 minutes & found a dog that kinda looked like Alex, but no luck. Funny cause Sean found a dog that looked alot like Red when he was looking. Anyways... I went to work & Sean came home to look for the dogs & found them after about 30 more minutes of looking. Little brats. He found them not in the neighbor across the streets backyard, but the backyard behind that!! That means that they had to go down Alma School to get in that yard, which really freaks me out! We are lucky they didn't get hit!! I don't know what got into them. But now they are back home.
So we borrowed a pinewood derby track from my dads ward so we didnt' have to rent one. Sean & his dad went & set it up at the ward while I was at work. I didn't even get home til 6 & the race was at 7. So here is me & Sean with our smokin cars....


Sean pretty much made both of ours. Sean's was actually really pretty... & detailed... & the pictures do it no justice. Mine was nice & neon pink & not too shabby looking itself!

Now that you've seen all the pictures, & my nice slide show of the event... we had a blast!! The youth all did great cars & the adult leaders all did as well. Even the whole bishopric made cars! & only one car flew off the track from a lost wheel.. which I actually laughed at, which I probably shouldn't have. Sean had a call he had to take right as the race began, so I pretty much raced his car for him, & even though it was beautiful... I WON!! Yah, thats right... my car kicked some serious trash!!! It was actually pretty funny, cause after the race all the men kept racing anyway & Sean was able to come have some fun & then he really kicked everyones trash, but not til after the race was over, which was kinda sad. oh well.. se la vi! All in all... fine night of fun! But we had to take the track down & return it which meant we didnt' get home til almost 10! Crazy day!!
Now a few more words in case that wasn't enough for you!....
I've had a little down time at work & have been helping the front office with some busy work. One such chore has been shredding documents, which I don't mind at all! However, while putting paper after paper into the shredder, I've been looking at the shredder quite a bit. They put little pictures with lines through them to remind you what shouldn't go through the shredder- things like a paper clips, your hair, a tie, a hand... but one picture really puzzles me... there was a baby with a line through it. Is it telling me not to put a baby in the shredder? I'm seriously at a loss on that one. wierd.
